David Neches is active as a pianist, composer, conductor and educator. Comfortable in all musical styles, David performs in a wide variety of settings encompassing classical, jazz and popular genres.
As a clinician, David has presented many workshops at conferences, focusing on elementary music, choir building, creativity and musical leadership.
In 2009, he was named one of 50 Distinguished Music Educators by Yale University in a nationwide search.
A composer of many compositions, David’s pieces range from children’s songs to advanced choral works. His choral music is published by Carl Fischer and has been sung by choirs across the country.
He recently retired as a music educator in Augusta, Ga where he directed an award-winning elementary chorus and served as lead elementary music teacher for his county. He is available for engagements as a performer, conductor and educator.
